Well this has been a slow year for Vegas trips... Only 1 so far...whereas normally I would have already been 3 or 4 times.
Went in January had a great time, got another Royal Flush on a Progressive at Main Street. Other than that just same ole, same ole... some winnings here, some winnings there, some losings...overall came back a winner by several hundred dollars, almost a grand.
In February tried taking my wife out for Valentines day (a ritual that we have started over the past two years). Unfortunately, we did not get to go. Of all the lame excuses the plane was stuck in Dallas, Texas unable to make it to San Antonio due to SNOW!. First snow of significance in probably close to a decade and it screws up our Valentines day fun.
Normally go again in April but was canceled due to being just too darn busy.
Then there is the annual Roofing Convention that I attend with all the guys from the Ranch. Couldn't go this year because of Summer Vacation with the family being planned for the week after and our only employee (other than the wife or I) was out for the week. Couldn't leave the wife to take care of the office for a week by herself after her missing her trip earlier in the year.
Which brings us to August and the gangs annual birthday celebration for myself and Tommy. Our birthdays are one day apart and we try to go each year around our birthdays to celebrate. This year we are actually going a week after, but the purpose is still the same... FUN with the guys Boozing and Gambling.
Looking forward to this time away from home. It has been so long since I last went that I think I am having withdrawal symptoms. Will post notes while I am gone if at all possible and for sure when i get back. Just noticed I still need to upload pictures from the last trip. Dang but this has been a busy year, so much work cutting into my fun time is not good. Next year I think i will have to plan for 8 trips to Vegas since I missed so much this year.
